Stranglehold is Woo-ing You to the PS3
All right all you shoot’em up action movie fans…Here’s one for you. If you’re a fan of the John Woo masterpiece “Hard Boiled“, your gonna get a Hard-On for Stranglehold. What!!!! You don’t know who John Woo is? Stop pounding your pud, go to your local video store and rent “Hard Boiled”, “Bullet in the Head” and “The Killer” right fu*#ing now!!! Geez…I’ll teach you to be cool someday. I don’t know…may be your a lost cause.
Anyways, this summer Midway Games is releasing the sequel to the legendary film in the form of a video game (for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360). Stranglehold is the continuation of the of crime fighting chronicles of Inspector “Tequila” Yuen, a maverick Hong Kong police detective. Ensnared by a crime boss with a gripping secret, Inspector Tequila is forced to cross the line from sworn duty to bloody revenge. I have read that Stranglehold will bring John Woo’s famous use of hyper kinetic, choreographed action and freeze framed sequences to the video game arena, and will also feature the motion captured likeness and voice of Chow Yun-Fat, (Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Hard Boiled, Bulletproof Monk). The game will also contain some similar scenes, including a take on the iconic tea house shootout, which is probably Woo’s most famous scene from “Hard Boiled”.
Once again this game will be coming out with a special collectors edition for PS3. This seems to be a trend huh (Spider-Man 3 collectors edition for PS3). The collectors edition will not only contain the game, but also “Hard Boiled” the movie… in Blue Ray HD…on the same fu*#ing disk. Now thats rad!!
