Watch Out Guitar Hero…Here Comes the Band

Just found this on the internet. I know…I’m a douche, and this is old news by now, but regardless check it out. I’m prety excited about this game, especially the peripherals for the game. Check out the drums(by Roland I think) and mic… that’s awesome! From what I have read, it looks like Harmonix has a scheduled release date of November 2007 for Rock Band. Here is a couple of pics I came across.

Check it out…this is a picture of the prototype Fender Strat peripheral. It looks like you will have two different playing ranges…maybe the high range for soloing?
Here’s some more info that I have stolen from someone else’s research.
# The game will ship on one disc, which will contain four campaigns, one for each instrument. In addition, there’s also a big band option for four-player co-op madness.
# You can use any combination of online/offline play. Two online two off, one online three off, doesn’t matter.
# The vocals have been expanded from what we’ve seen in games like SingStar. The game’s got a phoneme detector, so individual vowels and consonants are picked up.
# It’s an EA game. So players create their own avatars, and can create different ones for each instrument the game offers.
# Each instrument character model has had different styles of animation mo-capped, so that you can decide what kind of hip-waggling and stage-strutting they’ll be performing.
# You’ll be able to design your own band logo for use online.
I am looking forward to seeing the game trailers when they come out. Oh and by the way… you can pre-order it now you f*@king geek! And for now I leave you with an Angry Gopher
