So it was 5 days ago when the red ring of death appeared on my Xbox 360 and ruined my gaming life, for now (thank god for MAME and online games). I just got the pre-paid UPS box from Microsoft (3 business days after the meltdown), and I immediately followed the packing instructions contained in the box. I made sure I wrote down the repair claim number (which I wrote on a post-it and taped to the console) and the UPS tracking number.
Todays date is July 10th…Microsoft said allow 3-5 days for the console to get to them…7 days for the repair, and 3-5 days to return ship. That means at the latest I will get the 360 back by August 2nd… Holy sh*t!!!! August 2nd! I need to borrow someones box before then. F*#k!…I wanted to finish The Darkness. I didn’t think about this until now! SH*T… I gotta go…I’ll keep you posted, on the rest of this stupid Microsoft saga. Maybe I should get a PS3, or a Wii. I hate you Bill Gates : (
