The ESRB returned fire on the comments made by California Senator Leland Yee about the re-rating of Man Hunt 2 yesterday. To refresh your memory of what Yee said:

“The ESRB and Rockstar should end this game of secrecy by immediately unveiling what content has been changed to grant the new rating and what correspondence occurred between the ESRB and Rockstar to come to this conclusion. Unfortunately, history shows that we must be quite skeptical of these two entities.”

So that surprised the hell out of me! I know I’m just an out of it, part time geek/gamer, but I thought Rockstar Games was sweeping this mess under the rug and cutting it’s losses. It’s seems like Rockstar and the ESRB have come to an understanding behind closed doors. Manhunt 2 will be released on October 31st Halloween (pretty cool). Though I wonder what changed? Did they edit the game or did they grease some palms?

So I’ll make it short and sweet. I’m working my way through BioShock (2k Games), and the most frustrating enemy you have in this game is this big Scooby-Doo Iron Lung wearin’ ugly mother-f*#ker called a Big Daddy! There are a couple different kinds, but they will all kill your ass the same! My recommendation is make sure you use your electric shock plasmid to shock its ass. Then make sure you have plenty of RPG ammunition, because those Big Daddy’s can take a lot! Or If there are multiple Big Daddy’s…Hit them with your Rage plasmid, so they kill each other!
Make sure that the Big Daddy is protecting a Little Sister so you can harvest her adam (a substance that will buy you more powers). If the Big Daddy is alone… DON’T F*#K WITH IT!!! It’s not worth the effort if their is no Little Sister to harvest. I am addicted to this game…IT’S CONTROLLING MY BRAIN!!!!!!

So as soon as GameStop in Marina del Rey opened (11am during the week by the way) I called to find out if BioShock(2k Games) was in (like the true gaming geek I am). My man Bob answered the phone and said that if I had reserved a copy, they had it waiting for me. I had reserved a copy…and I went to claim what was mine!

This coming from Julian Eggebrecht, the president of Factor 5 (Developer of titles such as Lair, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron and BallBlazer Champions) at the Leipzig Games Convention. Here’s his exact comment: “Games do not have sex and there is something wrong with that because it says essentially that games are what children play.” Taken out of context it sounds like he’s some kind of pedophile. I got this from an article on gamespot.com that Emma Boyes wrote. The article is about Eggebrecht complaining about the ERBC outlawing Man Hunt 2. He’s worried about Factor 5’s new game Lair that is coming out in September. Check it out:
