I Finnished Halo 3, and I’m not Impressed!…I’m Serious!!!
I just finished Halo 3 this morning…and has my life changed?…No it’s the same old mundane run in the mill Rockstar/ Unemployed Pyrotechnician/ Unemployed Assistant Director hum-drum life (Wow…I suck!). “What…did ya think that this game would change your life or something STUPID????”. No…but I thought it would’ve been a little more to it than just a straight continuation of Halo 2. Even some of the environments were the same as the last one (e.g. the snow covered mountain level towards the end, and the get away in the warthog before Halo explodes in the end).
Overall I was a little disappointed with Halo 3 (Microsoft/Bungie). First of all this game ended up to be pretty short. It took me a month to finish BioShock (K2). Halo 3 took about 5 days (averaging 2 to 6 hours per day). That was a big disappointment.
Second, it would have bee nice to visit some other planets that looked different than Halo and Halo2. It’s like they were lazy and kept the story line the same as the others so they didn’t have to create new backdrops. Yes there was a couple…like the inner nest of the flood…which was pretty cool (I’m a loser for saying that). It feels like they put the least amount of effort on their homework assignment, and got a f*#king A+ for it.
I have yet to experience the online play(Xbox Live), so I can’t fully sh*t on Halo 3 yet. I’m hoping that it won’t be the same old online play where you constantly get your head blown off by an army of obsessed virgin prepubescent boy geniuses.
Bottom line…buy it used (on ebay or something) or rent it, and don’t waste the 60 bucks. I still say that “Gears of War” and “BioShock” were more impressive to me than Halo 3. There were a couple cool additional vehicles and weapons, but not nearly enough to make it the best gaming experience of the year. As Flava Flave and Terminator X (of Public Enemy…douche wad!) once said “Don’t believe the hype!”…Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaa booooooooooiiiieeeee!!!

I’ve been reluctant to admit it to myself, but yeah, I kind of have to agree – I haven’t been overly impressed. I’m on the next-to-last mission and I guess the awesomeness that I was expecting isn’t going to show up. The new weapons are cool enough, but you get the feeling that they were concentrating on the multiplayer (which I haven’t tried yet either) and the story feels like an afterthought.

I think Halo is done in my book. The series is played out, and there is nothing fresh or new about it. I hear the movie is in the works…I won’t be wasting my money on that.

My son has been begging for this since he heard about it getting released,(this and guitar hero 3) I’v been entering contest(everyone)that has these type of prizes. I’m a LOSER
Todays 3/26 his 12th bday so still entering sweeps trying to bag him a great gift since I’m unemployed winning something would be great…
