This is not definite!…so don’t go blabbing to your geek buddies that Speed said that their coming out with a Blu-ray equipped Xbox 360 (ya jack off). I came across this article on gamespot.com that said that there is potential for this to happen.
This isn’t the first article I’ve come across… Speculation has been running ramped in the gaming world lately. I read the same type of speculative article on technologyexpert.blogspot.com last week. So the bottom line is that Microsoft said they might consider switching to Blu-ray… here’s a quote fom an article from an article on reuters.com :

“It should be consumer choice; and if that’s the way they vote, that’s something we’ll have to consider,” Albert Penello, group marketing manager for Xbox hardware said when asked whether Microsoft would support a Blu-ray DVD accessory in the event that HD-DVD failed.

Now gamespot says that Sony would entertain the possibility of providing a Blu-ray player for the Xbox 360… Check it out:
Citing an unnamed “senior executive,” the Financial Times said that Sony and Microsoft are not simply discussing a successor to the Xbox 360’s now discontinued, dirt-cheap external HD DVD drive. The newspaper said that there is also the possibility of an internal Blu-ray drive being incorporated into a new, more expensive “premium” 360 model, as it is already in the PlayStation 3. Thusly, Sony would earn royalties from sales of a rival console–a first for the game industry.
For its part, Sony welcomes the possibility of a Blu-ray equipped Xbox 360. “If Microsoft wants to release Gears of War 3 on a Blu-ray Disc, I think we can make that happen,” Sony Computer Entertainment America’s vice president of product marketing Scott A. Steinberg told GameSpot.

Then of course Microsoft denies that they have even discussed making a move on the Blu-ray thing (what the f*#k…over?). My best guess is that now that Microsoft is discontinuing the external HD-DVD player… they have no f*#king choice! But what will they do about releasing games that are for the Xbox 360 only? Will Sony put their balls in a vice and make them release Gears of War and Halo 3 (two of the biggest sellers for Microsoft) for PS3? Sony could be holding the trump card…and be able to gain more of the market share. Well all of this bullsh*t is pure speculation, and truth be told no one knows what will happen. I’ll tell ya this though…When the sh*t goes down I’ll let you know. Until then, stop spreadin’ those rumors ya douche!
