Viking Will Chop your F*#king Head Off!!

I just got Viking: Battle for Asgard (Sega / The Creative Assembly)! Asgard? Sounds like something you wear in prison to keep from getting ass raped. Well anyways, The game rocks! It reminds me a lot of the Lord of the Rings games.
Basically your this Viking named Skarin, who gets mortally wounded in a battle with demons from the under world, who are trying to take over Midgard (middle earth… you D&D geeks know what I’m talking about). You are about to die when a goddess named Freya (you may know her from the story of Beowulf) approaches you and brings you back to life, bestowing you with magic powers to lead the human army against the demon hordes from the underworld.

You will have a bunch of tasks to do to clear each stage and free all the villages from the Evil Legion. Picking up treasure (gold coins) on your journey is important, because you need money to buy spells, potions, weapons, food and special moves. When you have some cash you can go to the Battle Arena and purchase special moves. So basically you need to check your map and knock off all the tasks, collect money and free imprisoned soldiers to form a large army, and attack the Legion Hordes (basically ridding Midgard of demons). Plus you need to find an amulet that will summon a dragon that you can command to fight with your army (awesome)
So far I like the game. The graphics are good but not as good as Assassins Creed (Ubisoft), Bioshock (K2) or Gears of War (Microsoft / Epic Games). The story is cool, the game play is a little loose (if you catch my drift), the score rocks, good boss action (that you have to defeat), and also the narration sound like an Ian McKellen copy (unless it’s him). The game is extremely violent (I love it). When you attack a dude and nail him a couple of times an X will appear over the dude your fighting and then you can finish him with a kill move… in slow motion! Usually cutting him in half or chopping off his limbs and his head (very bloody)…It’s f*#king RAD!!! The more guys you kill, the more powerful you get.
I am a f*#king geek and I know this… that is why I like this genre of game. Try it out for yourself… or rent it. You won’t be disappointed. I’ll have more on how to master this game.

StumbleUpon It!
