How to Rob a Bank… by Niko Bellic!
Nothing in video gaming news excited me today so I decided to fire up the Xbox 360 and play some Grand Theft Auto 4 (Rockstar Games). I have been stuck for a little while on the level where I have to rob a bank with my buddy Packie and the Irish mob. I have probably tried this at least 10 times and gave up before, but today I was determined to get past it and get some real money. I played through it about 4 more times before I finally finished it… So I thought I might give you geeks out there some tips, so you won’t have to go through the bull sh*t I had to (see what a f*#kin’ nice guy I am). So lets get right to it… shall we… ya douche! (couldn’t help myself…lol)
You will first have this cut scene that will have Packie and his bros callin’ each other asshole or stupid… and putting each other down. Then they will talk about the robbery (not in detail though). After the cut scene you will all end up outside Packies’ place… You need to steal a four door car to get you and the gang to the Bank (try not to steal it in front of a cop ya f*#kin’ retard). Now just follow the yellow brick road across the bridge to the bank (and enjoy the banter of those Irish mooks during the ride).
You will automatically have a couple of grenades and a new bad ass Carbine Rifle. I suggest that if you make a pit stop at your nearest illegal gun dealer (there is one on the way to the bridge), and stock up… simply because you’ll be up against more f*#king cops than you’ve faced yet! Make sure that you get some body armor first (if you don’t already)… also another 4, 5 or more grenades will help (if you have the doe). Then stock up on ammo for all your weapons (just to be safe). Now your ready to take on Liberty City’s finest.
When you get to the bank you will start out with a cut scene (of course) that will bring you to the point when the vault blows (he he he… you said blows). Now rundown the stairs behind you and go to the vault and grab the money… ya see it? Now a cut scene will lead you back upstairs. I suggest that you switch to grenades before you run for the exit with the boys. Now when you get to the front exit of the bank I want you to throw one grenade toward the cop car out the left set of doors… then one toward the cop car on the right. This should clear out some of the bacon that will be surrounding. Switch back to your Carbine Rifle and clean the rest out. Some of the other cop cars on the street will blow up when you shoot them. After you clear enough cops out the gang will be on the move (careful of a cop that hides behind the right front exit door… in case he doesn’t die in the fire fight). Your task now is to follow the gang… help them fight off the army of cops and not get too far from them (or you’ll lose them… or it’s game over… start from scratch)
Now the boys will go right, out of the front exit and make a right into the first alley… where there will be cops waiting for you on the other side of the alley. You want to go past the alley (fire fight)…. shoot the cops hiding behind their cars on the left (if they aren’t dead already). Now make a right don the street… you are going to flank the cops on the other side of the alley (to help you boys out). The first alleyway on your left will have a cop hiding at the end (shooting at you boys)… KILL HIM! Now go to the next alley on the right and there will be 2 cop cars with guys shooting at your gang…. KILL THEM! They won’t be suspecting you, so mow them down.
Now when you clear them out you gang will be on the move again… I am totally sick of all these minor details. Just follow your boys (for Christ sake) and fight off the cops with them. You will eventually reach a cut scene with a Helicopter that will lead you into the subway. Be careful there will be two cops waiting for you when you get down the stairs and run down the hallway. Now you will catch up to your boys and have to clear all cops out of the turnstile area… be careful, more cops will come up the stairs from the train platform so don’t be hasty and run through the turnstiles too early. Make sure you kill all the cops on that level first.
Now when you get to the train platform th cops will be shooting at you from the opposite platform… KILL ‘EM ALL! Next… your boys will jump onto the train tracks and run into the subway tunnel… follow them… but watch your back. Cops will jump onto the tracks also and follow you… KILL ‘EM ALL!
You need to run down the tunnel for a little but and you will find the emergency exit (yellow arrow stupid!). Follow the exit up to the street. Now here’s the tricky part… you won’t have much time, but there will be a cop car already waiting for you… kill the cops that are waiting, then run away (the boys will follow) and steal a four door car pronto (a fast one if you can find it), before the whole f*#king police force shows up and turns you and the gang into bloody swiss cheese!
Now you just have to get away from the cops (easier said than done). The way I did it was to get on the longest straightest street I could find, and f*#king floor it. Don’t hit any cars (especially cop cars), and you will lose those bastards! Now you can take a nice easy ride back to Packie’s and collect your $200,000.00! Yea… you heard me 200 GRAND! If you can get through this level it’ll be worth it. You will be set money wise. Go treat yourself and buy that semi-automatic military sniper rifle you’ve always wanted.
