Speedypete’s Video Game Picks for Fall 2008…did you say pick?
So we’re coming to the end of another short summer (or at least it seems short), and what the hell do we have to look forward to? Well… there are some kick ass video games coming out this fall, and thats what I’ll be looking for.
How do these guys do it? They just keep cranking them out, game after game?

Well lets make things easy for you. Here is a list of games I think may be cool, along with their release dates.
FaceBreaker (EA)…September 8th
I’m a big fan of the boxing video game and I’ve had my eye on this game for awhile. Developed By EA Canada, this game definitely has a more comic like take on the boxing genre and goes one step farther.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (Lucas Arts)…September 16th
Ahhhhh… I love a good Star Wars game. I’ve played through a couple in the past and was impressed, including Star Wars Battle Front (great game). I am truly excited to play this one (I am a f*#king poindexter).
Gears of War 2 (Epic Games / Microsoft Game Studios)… November 7
Not much to say about this one… Gears of War was one of my favorite games when it came out. I am looking forward to this one, but I hope it’s not a sh*tty cop out like Halo 3. It’s been built up so high in my mind it may be due for failure… but I hope not. Marcus Fenix… Take me away!!!!!!!
Prince of Persia (Ubisoft Montreal)… November 18th
Prince of Persia has been the topic of discussion for quite awhile. This game was designed by our friends at Ubisoft Montreal. Yes the same guys that designed Assassins Creed which I was a very big fan of. If this game is half the game Assassins Creed was, it will still be great. The trailers look fantastic!
Wow! Decisions decisions decisions. I may not be able to afford all of these to review for you, but I will try my damnedest. They all look great and I am looking forward to this fall in gaming. I am a total video geek… and I don’t give a sh*t!!!!
