I’m Just a Blade in the Crowd
So your still playin Assassins Creed II (Ubisoft) you decided to take the Assassination job in Venice called “Blade in the Crowd”… Huh? It’s f*#king hard!… and you can’t do it…so your looking to me for advice? Well have a seat young Padawan and pay close attention to this weeks lesson in killin’ quietly.
The object of this Assassination job is to take out 3 of the Doge’s (basically the King of Venice) trusted administrators (henchmen) who are being sent to Florence to rouse the people. They have been told to meet with the Doge before they leave, and your gonna take them out ninja style before they get to the Palace.
This took me awhile to figure this one out… a lot of tryin’…a lot of dyin’.Your going to begin at the pigeon coop where you got the assignment. Facing the pigeon coop jump over it and start running the rooftop (towards the thugs for hire and the hiding place). You will come to a guard on the roof and I want you to run past him… all the way to the end. Do a leap of faith off the right corner of the roof into a bail of hay on the ground and lay there hidden. Turn on your eagle vision (press Y) and look for the guy glowing gold. When he walks close to you pres RT (right trigger) and the X button. Like a Trapdoor Spider you’ll grab the dude pull him into the hay and kill the mother f*#ker. No one will ever even know. Wait a couple seconds till the coast is clear then jump out and walk to your right. You’ll come upon a couple guards by an entry way… ignore them make a right into the entryway and walk slowly past. Now if you want you can run over the bridge and run straight to another bridge (it’s Venice you imbecile, there’s a shitload of bridges). Over this next bridge is your next victim… hit your eagle vision and you’ll see the gold glowing bastard. Now walk… yes walk over the bridge and just follow him slowly (go to the left after the bridge obviously). Make sure you leave plenty of space between you and your soon to be dead friend in front of you (you’ll catch up to him in just a minute… you gotta take care of somethin’ first). Coming up on your left will be a a heavily armored and equipped guard (Called a Brute) he will recognize you so when you walk up so kill him quietly (Press RT and X when your close to him). You don’t want your victim to see or hear you. Now follow your victim over the bridge to the left and begin to catch up, but slow down when you get close. When you get right behind him hit RT and X button to do the quiet kill.
Now turn around and walk slowly back over the bridge and through the entrance way to the Palazzo Ducale (the courtyard in front of the Doge’s Palace). You can run now! Go towards the Palace and and go right (towards the water). When you come to the water turn to your right and go into eagle vision to find the gold glowing dude. Now stalk the mutha f*#ka down! get behind him and do your duty, but make sure there are no soldiers in your immediate presence (obviously hitting RT and X button to kill the dude)
