I have written about the idea of digital download of games before. I mentioned that GameStop’s days are numbered unless they figure out a way to deliver these games over the internet before someone else figures it out. Anyways I just read an article on gamespy about the game Dead Space (EA) being available for digital download (for PC only). I’ve checked out this game on gametrailers.com and it looked pretty cool, but I have Gears of War 2 (Epic Games) and Prince of Persia (Ubisoft) coming up for release… and I’m not made of money. So maybe someday I’ll get it used. Here’s what gamespy had to say

I think I wrote a blog entry on the iPhone coming out with video games (TBD)… but now it’s for real (pretty f*#king cool)! Apple got together with Sega to begin creating games for download for the ever popular iPhone. The first offering will be Sega’s Super Monkey Ball which first came out in 2006. Who the f*#k are the Happy Tree Friends? Well I just found out who they are myself (I know I’m a douche). They are a flash cartoon on the web about cute fuzzy creatures that usually get mauled in some way each episode. You know what… here’s a better explanation by the website.

I just finished Viking: Battle for Asgard (Sega / The Creative Assembly), and boy, this one wasn’t easy. Your basically clearing out your different regions of Legion soldiers and freeing imprisoned soldiers to build your army to attack Legion strongholds. You will finally get to the castle of the goddess Hel and you’ll have to fight the battle of all battles.

So I am now f*#king addicted to the video game Viking: Battle fro Asgard (Sega / The Creative Assembly). I must have played for five hours yesterday. “Oh I’ll just play for a couple of minutes…” next thing you know, two hours have eroded from my life! Well here is some helpful tips on how to negotiate your way around Midgard.
